A chilly morning arrived at Cottonwood Lakes. The sky was gradually brightening up. I grabbed my camera and sleeping bag and hurried up the hill to catch the sunrise. I knew I had a bit of time to set it up, but as always, I got anxious. I waited patiently for the sun to rise, and soon realized that I would not be able to frame the sun and the lakes together, let alone the glow fallen on the ridgeline that towered Cottonwood Lake No. 3. So, I decided to focus on the glow. The vast subalpine terrain was slowly waking up. The calm water let me capture the reflection of the orange glow fallen on the ridgeline. Such a beautiful morning of solitude.
