Despite the fact that I stayed up capturing star trails till 1:30 am the night before, I got up early enough to catch the sunrise. And here in Alabama Hills the long strip of bright orange glow cast across the Eastern Sierra mountain peaks with no clouds lingering in the sky is what it is known for. And I couldn’t miss out on that! Part of me wished that I was on the higher ground, but for now this had to do. And I promised to myself that I would scout another location for the next sunrise.
