The last morning in Borrego Springs arrived in a bone chilling temperature, and I found myself shaking and grabbing layers upon layers. While bundling up, part of me was really glad that it didn’t dip below 20F. I composed a shot on the Stallion sculptures and waited. Regrettably, the thick marine layer over the horizon prevented the sun from lighting up the sky. Once sun rose high above the air mass, the sky slowly started getting smeared in orange hue. I pressed the shutter button on the remote trigger.
