The Art Deco-style lobby in the CalEdison building offered so much texture in the background. And it was so much fun working with Seth, who had so much wardrobe selections that he brought with himself. He was tall, fit and definitely dressed to kill.
This was my first time shooting at the CalEdison on 5th and Grand. I sort of knew it was one of the popular DTLA spots on Instagram, but I finally had a chance to shoot there with Seth. Unlike the Bradbury building, where a paid permit is required for professional photo shoots, the folks at the lobby were quite accommodating. The classic Art Deco-style landmark, completed back in 1931, offered such a cool vibe throughout the marble lobby and hallways.
